Simplife Privacy Policy

Effective: 17 July 2026.

The short version

Simplife stores everything on your device. We do not run servers, we do not have accounts, and we cannot see your data.

What the app stores (locally only)

Simplife is an offline life-tracking app. All data you enter — quests, skills, workouts, books, courses, finances, journal entries, relationships, guilds, hobbies, map pins, job projects, daily mood check-ins and weekly reflections, and your character customization — is saved in a private database file on your own device. It never leaves your phone unless you export or back it up yourself.

Mood and reflection entries deserve a special note: they may describe how you feel. They are stored with the same local-only handling as everything else, are never transmitted, and are never used for anything except showing you your own history.

Location

If you use the World Map's "My Location" button, the app asks for location permission to place a pin where you are standing. The coordinates are stored locally with your pin. Location is never collected in the background and never transmitted.

Photos

Photos you attach (map pins, hobbies, course certificates, assets) stay in your device storage; the app only saves a reference to them.

What leaves your device

- Map tiles: the World Map loads tiles from OpenStreetMap's public servers; this discloses your IP address and viewed map area to OSM, like any map app. See openstreetmap.org privacy policy.
- Outbound links: store/course/donation links open in your browser. What happens there is governed by those sites, not Simplife.

Nothing else is transmitted. No analytics, no ads SDKs, no crash reporting, no tracking.

Data deletion

Uninstalling the app deletes the database. There is nothing to delete on our side, because we hold nothing.
